ABOUT US.....

Care Balonne Association Inc.(Care Balonne) was established in 1994 and is primarily an information and referral service covering the whole of the Balonne Shire, based in the town of St George. Our vision is to be recognised as a progressive organisation that aspires to increase the viability of our community by being aware of the community needs and developing strategies to meet these needs.

Care Balonne Association is governed by a committee with members from within our community that have a wealth of knowledge and expertise:

  • Chairperson Robyn Fuhrmeister

  • Deputy Chair Jeff Moon

  • Secretary Tony Griegg

  • Treasurer Trish Davey

Care Balonne have  successfully run projects in partnership with

  • Tackling Regional Adversity through Connected Care (TRACC) program focussing on Mental Health.

  • Australian Federal Department of Agriculture, Water, and Environment, Sunshine Coast University and Griffith University with the Real Regional and Rural Women project. As part of this project a series of podcasts were recorded with local rural Balonne women and are available via the Real Regional and Rural Women website, Apple or Spotify Podcasts.
